L. DAVID SIBLEY教授简介:
U.S. National Academy of Science member, Alan A. and Edith L. Wolff Distinguished Professor in the department of Molecular Microbiology, Washington University School of Medicine. The main focus of Prof. Sibley's research is using Toxplasma gondii as a model to study the unique adaptations for parasitism in apicomplexan parasites, as well as the cross-talk between hosts and parasites that determines the outcome of the infections. Prof. Sibley has published more than 230 peer reviewed papers in top scientific journals, such as Science, Nature, Cell, Nat Communications etc. Over the last a few years, Prof. Sibley has won numerous awards, including Burroughs Wellcome Fund Scholar Award in Molecular Parasitology and Alice and C.C. Wang Award In Parasitology. He is on the advisory boards of quite a few top research institutes, such as Wellcome Trust and Institut Pasteur. Meanwhile, he is serving as editors for a number of journals that include Science, PLoS Pathogens, mBio and Annual Review of Microbiology.
