Progress i n Veterinary Medicine is a monthly-published academic journal focusing on new findings and technologies in the field of veterinary medicine. The journal was founded in 1980, with the journal name Veterinary Medicine Abroad - Diseases in Poultry and Livestock. Currently, Progress i n Veterinary Medi ne is listed or indexed by the Chinese Core Journals, Agricultural Core Journal of China, Chinese Science Citation Database (CSCD), etc. , and is awarded the honorary title ‘the Excellence Journal on Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Medicine’. Progress i n Veterinary Medici ne is organized by the Northwest A&F University (NWAFU), and supervised by the Ministry of Education of China.

Aims and scopes:
The aim of Progress in Veterinary Medicine to promote research, education, and industry in veterinary fields. The target reader groups would be researchers, faculties, and students in agricultural universities and medical schools; and also for veterinarians and staffs working in related areas, such as animal disease control and inspection, veterinary public health, animal products inspection, disease control and therapy in animal husbandry, clinic for pets, wild animal protection, experimental and comparative medicine, as well as veterinary administration. Progress i n Veterinary Medicine publishes novel findings, theories and techniques, covering both basic research and clinical study worldwide in veterinary areas. The main article types include research article, review, monograph & lecture, and clinical report.
